Exercise tracking in the Virtual Active app

Please note Virtual Active does not connect to your machine via Bluetooth or USB or anything else, instead we use the sensors on your iOS device to automatically detect your exercise speed.

If you're using Virtual Active, understand there are three tracking modes.

1. Visual tracking, which is default. In this mode it's important to make sure you're in view of the device's front facing camera.

2. Vibrational tracking, which is default for iPad1 and on other models must be toggled in settings. In this mode make sure the device is touching the bike, treadmill or elliptical so it can sense your exercise vibrations with on board sensors.  This mode exists in Virtual Active, but currently not BitGym.

3. Manual advance, which must be toggled on in settings. In this mode the video advances at a set rate despite your exercise motions. This mode exists in Virtual Active, but currently not BitGym.

If you’re still having problems, please don’t hesitate to write a support request here. We’re working hard to make the algorithm perfect, so if it’s not working right we definitely want you input.
